Looking for doggy daycare and boarding in Wisconsin? Under One Woof is one of the premier centers in the state, with a facility located in the Stillwater region of Minnesota.

For years, we’ve been dispensing doggo advice to our members via our newsletter and reaching first-time visitors on our blog.

Today, however, we’re going to change tack and talk about the facility itself. So whether you visit Under One Woof often, are considering visiting for the first time, or have only just discovered us, there’ll be something to glean from the questions and answers to follow.

When was Under One Woof founded?

The facility was bought in 2014 by our founder, Kristi Sonnee, an experienced groomer who has worked with dogs and animals for 20+ years. Kristi is trained in dog and human first aid and CPR.

What can I expect when I bring my dog to Under One Woof?

For safety reasons, all dogs (whether in for daycare or boarding) start day in a pen adjacent to the play groups. They remain here until they’re calm and the pack has come to terms with the new face. Then, once we’re satisfied, they are integrated into the group.

Dogs that are exhibiting disruptive energy are closely monitored so that we can stamp out bad behaviors before they even start. Most of the time, though, it’s plain sailing, helped by the fact that there always toys to enjoy and plenty of water to hydrate on. Almost all the doggos we see return home exhausted from hours of fun.

Plus, our staff are dog-lovers, and we hope this shows.

As for the grooming side of the business, our staff are professional experts who care for a dog as if it was their own. You can expect the average groom to take 2 ½ to 3 hours.

What are the breeds you most commonly see at Under One Woof?

We see a lot of high-energy dogs that need plenty of exercise. Labradors, Doodles, Goldens and Boxers. Lots of mixed breeds as well. Overall, we do have a really good mix of dogs.

What are some of the more unusual breeds you’ve had?

We’ve had a few Norwegian Ridgebacks, a Portgugese Water Dog (a breed made famous by the Obamas), Xolo (similar to a Mexican Hairless), Eurasier, Puli, Basenji, Bouvier Des Flandres, Kerry Blue Terrier, Munsterlander, American Water Spaniel and Sharpei. These are the few that come to mind.

That said, the facility can comfortably hold 45-50 dogs at any one time, and we’ve been in operation for several years, so we’ve no doubt forgotten a few!

Where are you located? You can find us at 14621 60th St N, Stillwater, MN 55082. Our opening hours are 6am-8pm Monday-Friday and 8am-6pm Saturday and Sunday.
